Ifemosu is Ignorant, Prof Salako, FUNAAB Vice Chancellor Not a Tyrant – Postgraduate Students Says

Ifemosu is Ignorant Prof Salako FUNAAB Vice Chancellor Not a Tyrant Postgraduate Students Says teelamford
The attention of the Postgraduate Students Association, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta has be drawn to the continuous damaging report about this great citadel of learning and the management led by The Vice Chancellor, Professor Salako. This is being done by a cheap attention seeking expelled student known as Ifemosu Micheal Adewale.

It is of great importance to state clearly that Ifemosu was expelled from the University November 2019 for false allegations and misrepresentation of facts about this great University.

According to reports, it was learnt that Ifemosu was invited on August 29, 2019 by the Student Disciplinary Committee for the purpose of fair hearing and also to present evidences backing his claims which he couldn't do.

Furthermore, the Senate at its 217th statutory meeting held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 considered the report of the Student Disciplinary Committee on the allegations and expelled him.

The public should take note that FUNAAB has been established since 1988 with responsibilities of moulding leaders both academically and character wise, and the great institute of learning has produced as much as possible leaders in all parts of the world and across all sectors, few of which are named below :

1. Lateef O.  Sanni, First FUNAAB graduate to become a Professor and Deputy Vice Chancellor

2. Japheth Omojuwa, a social commentator  and blogger

3. Oluseun Onigbide, a techpreneur

4. Kiss Daniel, a Musician

These examples are just a minute fraction of successful FUNAABITES proudly made by FUNAAB doing exploits all over the world.

As a reputable institution known for moulding great personalities in the whole world, Ifemosu was given a chance to apologize publicly and repent of the false accusations and allegations but he replied nonchalantly that he doesn't owe anybody apology.

Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNNAB) is a prestigious institution popularly known and highly regarded as the best institute of Agriculture in Nigeria, Africa and one of the bests all over the world. It will be damaging and destructive to just expel a student for no reason with such great reputation the University has earned for itself over the years.

However, the PGSA FUNAAB is a recognised student body representing Postgraduate Diploma, Master of Science, Master of Philosophy and Doctorate students. As it has always been demonstrated before, the mandate to represent postgraduate students would have been used and extended to defend Ifemosu as a solidarity support for the Student Union Government who has direct responsibility to defend Ifemosu who was a 200L undergraduate student but his questionable character, absence and extreme stubbornness exhibited when invited for questioning made it impossible. It should be made known to the public that he didn't show up when invited by the student bodies on campus for fair hearing and questioning so as to settle issues with the management.

Also, PGSA in its own capacity thereafter made an investigation on the case and his personality. It was discovered that even when he wasn't a funaabite, he was fingered to be part of the team leaders involved in the crisis that happened in FUNAAB in 2016 leading to injuries of so many innocent funaabites but the situation was contained by the school management. He has always been interested and highly involved in things that will damage the reputation of this great citadel of learning which has been in existence for 32 years as its being demonstrated now by him.

The PGSA FUNAAB having been carried along in management decisions is committed to the growth of this great Institute and passes a vote of staunch confidence on the management team led by The Vice Chancellor, Prof Salako. The management has shown extreme transparency in all dealings financially and also in all other aspects, hence won the heart of all students of the University with its student welfare oriented schemes.

According to the Postgraduate Students Association, in their words;
"Collectively, Our Vice Chancellor who is highly respected all over the world as shown at the just concluded convocation that hosted 2 Federal Ministers, AFDB President and more than 50 other Vice Chancellors all over the world can never be described as a tyrant. He is committed to the development of this great institution as FUNAAB will soon be generating its own electricity thereby providing the students 24/7 electricity supply.

It's sheer ignorance on  the part of Ifemosu and his cohorts to say The Honorable Vice Chancellor expelled him. The Student Disciplinary Committee has enough highly ranked intellectuals as members other than the Vice Chancellor and decisions are made there not automatically by the Vice Chancellor but by the collective reasoning of all members of the Committee. Also, after the interaction of Student Disciplinary Committee with Ifemosu, a recommendation was passed to the Senate at its 217th meeting.

We wish to inform the public that only the Vice Chancellor doesn't make up the Senate. The Senate has more than enough intelligent Professors, Head of Departments, Deans and highly respected members where only the Vice Chancellor can't make decisions at his will. We reiterate the fact the The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Vice Chancellor, Professor Salako is doing well and unanimously pass a vote of confidence on him."
