Pastor Adeboye Disowns ‘Prayer Points’ Against Fulani Herdsmen

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has disowned a list of ‘prayer points’ against Fulani herders circulated on social media.

In a tweet on Saturday, Adeboye branded the ‘prayer points’ as ‘fake news’ and said he never issued it and he never asked anyone to issue it on his behalf.

The so-called ‘prayer points’ partly read, “The Fulani Moslems, well-organised, have encircled us with high calibre arms and ammunition pretending they are cattle-rearers, wait for orders to overrun our land and kill our people. They have perfected their strategies.

“Now, oh Lord, arise and defend us; contend with those that contend with us.

“Oh Lord, protect us. Stop them from destroying our farmlands, raping our women, killing our people, burning our houses, kidnapping and robbing us.”

But the 78-year-old cleric urged the general public to disregard the so-called ‘prayer points’ as he did not come up with it.

“Calvary greetings! Please ignore this prayer point titled, “Prayer from Daddy G. O. Adeboye”,” he captioned a copy of the so-called ‘prayer points’.

“It is not from me and I have not assigned anyone to come up with it. I am not associated with the content neither the author of the content. Please beware of such! God bless you!” he added.

The South-West region has been in the eye of the storm lately over the activities of criminal elements who masquerade themselves as Fulani herders. These criminals have been accused of a number of crimes including kidnappings, killings, rape, and destruction of farmlands.

The governors in the region had since banned open grazing, night grazing and underage grazing amongst other measures to curb the menace and foster peaceful co-existence between the Hausas and their host Yoruba communities.

Magashi said this on Wednesday, February 17 while speaking with newsmen after the screening of the service chiefs by members of the House of Representatives.

Reacting to the abduction of 27 students of the Government Science College, Kagara in Niger state, Magashi said;

”Is it (security issue) the responsibility of the military alone? We shouldn’t be cowards. It is the responsibility of everybody to be alert and ensure safety when necessary. We shouldn’t be cowards. Sometimes bandits come with about three rounds of ammunition and when they fire shots everybody will run. In our younger days, we stand to fight any form of aggression.

Why should people run away from minor, minor aggressions?

We should stand and face them. If these people know that the people have the competence and capability to defend themselves, they will run away”

AMERICA’s POWER OUTAGE: Texas Residents Line-Up To Fetch Water From Borehole (See Photos & Video)

Residents of Texas have been captured lining up to fetch water amid days of blackout in the state caused by failure in natural gas operations.

Operators revealed that the bulk of the power loss in Texas came from natural gas suppliers as pipelines froze, making it difficult for plants to get the fuel they needed.

Electricity is normally used to pump water into the homes of residents but since the outage, many have resorted to seeking alternative ways of accessing their daily needs.

In a video shared on Twitter by abc reporter, Erica Simon, citizens could be seen in a queue holding buckets and dispenser containers as they fetched water from a borehole tap.

Sharing the video, Erica wrote;

“This is not a third world country. This is Houston, Texas. I spotted a line of people filing up buckets of water from a spicket at Haden Park. Why? Millions either have no water or are under a Boil Water Advisory.”

“Yes everyone, I’m now aware that it’s spelled spigot. Smiling face with smiling eyes”

Power Grid Collapses, Plunges Lagos, Others Into Darkness

The nation’s power grid suffered its first collapse this year on Wednesday, plunging parts of the country into a blackout.

Two of the electricity distribution companies in the country, Ikeja Electric Plc and Eko Electricity Distribution Company Plc, disclosed this in messages to their customers through their Twitter handles on Wednesday.

It said, “This is to inform you that we experienced a system collapse at 13:58hrs today and this affected all customers on the IE network. However, we are pleased to confirm that supply has been restored to Alimosho, Ogba, and Alausa transmission stations at 14:47hrs.

“Please note that gradual restoration to other areas is currently ongoing. Thank you for your understanding.”

EKEDC said, “There has been a partial system collapse on the national grid interrupting supply to most areas within our network. We are gathering updates on the situation and will provide them as available.

“For now, please be assured that all stakeholders are working hard to make sure this is resolved. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

The grid, which is being managed by government-owned Transmission Company of Nigeria, has continued to suffer system collapse over the years amid a lack of spinning reserve that is meant to forestall such occurrences.

Spinning reserve is the generation capacity that is online but unloaded and that can respond within 10 minutes to compensate for generation or transmission outages.

Although five power stations are meant to provide spinning reserves, none of them currently have actual reserve.

The power stations are Egbin, Delta, Olorunsogo NIPP, Geregu NIPP and Omotosho NIPP.

Total power generation in the country stood at 4,499.90 megawatts as of 6 am on Wednesday, according to the Nigerian Electricity System Operator.

The system operator put the nation’s installed generation capacity at 12,954.40MW; available capacity at 7,652.60MW; transmission wheeling capacity at 7,300MW; and the peak generation ever attained at 5520.4MW.

She is closing this drama with this last post she says….

”This is the first day of Lent a time for spiritual healing and cleansing. This will be my last word on this matter.⁣⁣

It was never my wish to talk about the passing of my late husband Dr Tosin Ajayi on social media, despite the fact that during this 10 month period, from his death on April 26th 2020, I was accused of murdering him by his adult children and their mother after spending 42 days in St Nicholas Hospital by his bedside and dragged to Panti police station, then to coroners court and then to High court.

I am thankful that God delivered me from all these false accusations and gave me victory to bury my late husband in the manner he deserved. ⁣

I want to express my gratitude to those men and women of God praying with me during these trying moments. I am also grateful for the unflinching support of my family and friends all over the world, who stood by me, even the “Aprokos” propagating me to stardom.

Throughout this 10 month period my sole focus and objective was to ensure that I gave my late husband a befitting burial in accordance with his status as an Icon in the healthcare field in Nigeria, which I am happy I achieved in his honour. Love is at the heart of everything in life. For God is love and Love is God”.
