"My Boyfriend is Fat and Not Handsome, But i Loves Him Anyway" - Asian Lady Says

Love is blind. That is the case with Cherry and Ball from Thailand. While cherry is slim and pretty, she admits her obese boyfriend is far from handsome but she loves all of him. Their love is no fleeting affair as they first met 10 years ago but neither can remember who made the first move.

Cherry, who is a nurse at Mission Hospital, Bangkok said:

“I know he isn’t handsome but I’m always proud to be out with him. He has a good heart and that is the most important thing”.

She went on “he is so sweet and understanding – for example, he doesn’t like short haired women but when my hair is short he says I look cute!”
“We share everything….happiness and sadness…and that’s the main thing!. Many people look at us and call Ball fat, but we do not care because I am in love with the person not just what he looks like. We plan to start a family soon and I can not wait for ball to be a father".

"I Was Richer Than Redeemed Church as University Lecturer" - Pastor Enoch Adeboye

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG (worldwide), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed that he was richer than the church as a university lecturer back then.

The soft-spoken preacher, who took over the ministry following the demise of its founder, Pa Josiah Akindayomi, said the church’s income then was about half of his salary as university lecturer.

That's to tell you that a church doesn't just become mega overnight, people put in resources.

Ministering during a three-day special programme to end the church’s 40-day fasting and prayer period at the Redemption Camp, Kilometre 46, Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Adeboye said the ministry
was not financially buoyant before he came on board.

In his words:

"When God called me into full time ministry, I must tell you the truth, I was afraid because things were rough. I knew poverty when I was young but I became a university teacher with the belief that my days of poverty were gone.
When God asked me to leave my job to become a full-time pastor, the total income of the church was less than my salary and we were to share it among some 39 people.

"I was really afraid but God gave me one promise. He said do not worry my son, I will be with you.
If you are wondering why my case is different, it is because God told me that He will be with me and He has been faithful to His promise".

Former NNPC Boss, Andrew Yakubu Takes Federal Govt to Court, Says He Wants His Money Back

A former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Andrew Yakubu, has asked the Federal High Court in Kano to set aside the ex parte order of interim forfeiture on the $9,772,000 and £74,000 recovered from him.

Justice Zainab B. Abubakar of the Federal High Court sitting in Kano had on February 13 granted the interim forfeiture order for the money (which amounted to about N3bn) found in the secret safe belonging to Yakubu in Sabon Tasha, in Kaduna.

The order is sequel to an ex-parte application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission seeking an interim forfeiture of the recovered money to the Federal Government.

The ex-parte application was moved by Salihu Sani, counsel for the EFCC.

In her ruling, Justice Zainab held that the money now in the custody of the EFCC is in the interim forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria”

But in his application filed through his lawyer, Mr. Ahmed Raji (SAN), the ex-NNPC boss seeks, “An order setting aside, discharging or vacating the ex-parte Order made by this Honourable Court on the 13th of February, 2017, which ordered the interim forfeiture to the Federal Government of Nigeria of the respective sums of $9,772,800 and £74,000,000 belonging to the respondent/applicant, same having been made without jurisdiction".

The prayer by the applicant is anchored on two grounds.

One of the grounds is that the court lacked jurisdiction to make the order of forfeiture because the offence from which the money emanated as its proceeds were allegedly not committed within the Kano jurisdiction of the court.

The applicant also argued that the Federal Government lacked locus standi to apply for the interim forfeiture order.

Raji stated in the application, “…By Section 28 of the EFCC Act, only the commission, i.e. the EFCC has the vires to seek an order for the interim forfeiture of property under the Act.

The power of this honourable court to make interim forfeiture Order(s) pursuant to Sections 28 & 29 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Act, 2004 (hereinafter “EFCC Act”) is applicable ONLY to alleged offences charged under the EFCC Act and not to offences cognizable under any other law.

"The ex-parte Order of this Honourable Court dated 13th February, 2017, was made in respect of alleged offences under the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission Act (hereinafter “ICPC Act”) and not the EFCC Act as prescribed by Section 28 & 29 thereof.

"The conditions precedent to the grant of an interim forfeiture Order under Sections 28 & 29 of the EFCC Act were not complied with by the applicant before the Order was made.

"The combined effect of Sections 28 & 29 of the EFCC Act is that a charge alleging infractions against the provisions of the EFCC Act ought to be brought against a suspect before the powers of this honourable court under Sections 28 & 29 of the EFFCC Act, to order interim forfeiture of property, can be actuated".

Shehu Garba Says if Osinbajo Do Anything Great, It is by The Administration of Buhari

Senior Special Assistant to President Buharion Media and Publicity, has reacted to comments by some Nigerians that Vice President, Yemi Osibajo had performed better than President Muhammadu Buhari since he assumed office as Acting President.

Some Nigerians on social media have said that Osinbajo had visited more states in the last one month than his boss who has been in office for almost two years.

Garba responded to these comments when he spoke to some journalist in Abuja this weekend. He said whatever Osinbajo achieved in the last one month is also an achievement of President Buhari as both of them came into office with the same ticket.

"This country has one government. When Nigerians voted, they voted for Buhari/Osinbajo on one ticket. Nobody can divide that ticket. So, if Prof. Osinbajo achieves a milestone, it is a milestone by the Buhari administration. It's one government, no division in this government". He said.

Photo: Benue State Police Arrested Man Who Pretends to be Police Officer

Benue State Police have arrested one Misa Mohammed that has been parading himself as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

Spokesman of the command, Moses Joel Yamu, said the suspect was arrested at No.33, off Egume Street in Wadata area of Makurdi after the command detailed its men on his trail following a tip off.

Yamu said the suspect, whose real name was Misa Iorliam Francis, appeared to have been defrauded by an illegal recruitment syndicate and cautioned people against dealing with questionable characters promising them jobs.

Speaking to newsmen, the suspect said a certain police officer, Uche Paul, who he met in 2013 when he registered for the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Plateau State had allegedly masterminded his recruitment into the police academy.

“The man (Paul) took me to the police station and assured that he would recruit me. He later printed an acceptance letter which he gave me as the commencement of my training. He recommended books which I bought and he urged me to read them as part of my training for the four years I stayed there.

“I went back to my people who donated N130,000 which I gave to Paul. I have been collecting things such as money and food items from my people for him during the period. And when he told me that I was going to pass out on February 3, 2017, I organised my people who went to thank him while I also did a thanksgiving in the church,” he said.

The suspect, a native of Naka in Gwer local Government Area of Benue State, however admitted that he bought the uniform and gave it to an unsuspecting police tailor who sewed it for him.
