Akinwunmi Ambode Declares His Governorship Ambition, Says "The Future Is Now"

The Immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode who was ousted as the governor of Lagos State after stepping on some big toes within his party the All Progressive Congress in a brutal democratic take-over as come out again to declare his intention to return for another 4-years as the governor of Lagos State.

The former Governor as finally hinted on his ambition to return to the number political position in Lagos State, as he thanks all those who stood by him during his trying times, while also acknowledging the overwhelming endorsement he’s received for the contribution of his quota to the development of Lagos State.

During his time in power, he was seen as a representative of the youthful Lagosian populace, he has now declared his second coming while the incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says he’s still in consultations before he declares his intention for re-election.

Ambode declares that it can only get better for Lagos and indeed Nigeria while noting that it’s the time for the youths to take over, while noting that power is in their hands.

JAMB Shifts UTME Exam Date To May 6, 2022

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a change in date for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

In its weekly bulletin released on Monday, January 31, the UTME exercise initially scheduled for April 20 to 30, would now hold from Friday, May 6 to Monday, May 16. Similarly, the mock-UTME exercise earlier scheduled for April 2, would now be held on April 16.

However, JAMB said the date for the commencement of the sale of the 2022 UTME/DE application forms fixed for February 12 to March 19 remains.

It explained that the adjustments were meant to accommodate the interest of candidates who would be sitting for the UTME and others external examinations in April to ensure they were not caught in a conflict of dates that could see them missing any of their examinations.

The board also said it has introduced Computer Studies and Physical and Health Education as part of its UTME subjects for 2022. It also said it would adopt an optional USSD code to enable candidates to seamlessly register for the 2022 UTME without much stress or difficulty.

The US Mission recently announced that it commenced expansion of its visa services to assist non-immigrant visa applicants in Nigeria who qualify to renew their visas.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

One may be eligible for a visa renewal without an interview if your application is for a B1/B2, F, M, J (academic only), H, L or C1/D (combined only) visa and you meet each of the following criteria:

Your previous visa was issued in Nigeria.

Your previous visa is in the same classification as your current application.

Your previous visa was a full validity, multiple entry visa.

Your previous visa expired within the last 24 months or will expire in the next 3 months from the date of application.

You have all your passports covering the entire period since receiving the previous visa and the passport with the most recent visa.

You have never been arrested or convicted of any crime or offense in the United States, even if you later received a waiver or pardon.

You have never worked without authorisation or remained beyond your permitted time in the United States.

APPLICATION STEPS:

If you haven’t already paid the visa fee, you’ll need to pay online or in cash at a GTBank before scheduling to apply to renew your visa.

Login to the account using the information you used the last time you made a visa appointment or create a profile.

Select Nonimmigrant Visa Application, New Application/Schedule Appointment, and Visa Renewal without Interview.

Fill in your information and add any family members who are applying who also meet all the eligibility criteria. (Each applicant must individually meet the criteria; minors can apply without an interview only if they meet the eligibility criteria on their own.)

Answer a series of questions to determine eligibility for the program.

If eligible, schedule a date and time to submit your documents to the U.S. Consulate in Lagos (for February appointments) or the U.S. Embassy in Abuja (starting in March).

Gather the required documents as outlined on the appointment letter and present them at your drop-off appointment time.

Your passport will be returned by DHL with your visa, if your application is approved, or with a letter telling you the next steps to complete your application.

According to the BBNaija star who was reacting to reports of superstar, Rihanna getting pregnant for ASAP Rocky, she really wants to experience what pregnancy feels like.

However, speaking further, Mercy Eke cleared the air that although she really wants to experience pregnancy, she wants it to be at the right time.

Toyin Abraham Speaks After Customers Accuse Her And ‘Revolution Plus Property’ Of Fraud

Nollywood Actress, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has spoken up regarding the complaints of scam and fraud by customers of one of the brands she represents.

On Tuesday, February, 1, Instagram blogger @gistlover11 had alleged that many customers of the real estate company, Revolution Plus Properties are accusing the company of fraudulent activities.

Gistlover stated that these customers revealed that many of them paid for properties as far back as 2 years ago yet, nothing has been allocated to them.

Toyin Abraham who is the face of the brand alongside colleague, Odunlade Adekola, reacted to the news via her Instagram page.

She admitted that many had complained about the same issue to her in the past and she had personally taken it up to ensure resolution.

The actress added that she is not leaving the brand as she believes it has no intention of defrauding or scamming folks of their hard earned money.

She went on to say that complaints should be forwarded to the company or her and she will ensure everything is sorted.

Her post reads;

“I have seen and read the comments on the issue of delayed allocation by Revolutionplus, a brand that I represent.
Before now, some cases have been brought to my attention and many of them I have taken up the responsibility of following up.

As we speak now, I am still in talks with ED of Revolution Plus on how best and quick to resolve the matter. I am not leaving the brand as I can say they keep to their words, it’s just that we have issues that need to be resolved.

Please send messages to revolutionplusproperty or me if you have pending issues with Revolution Plus. The issues will be resolved as soon as possible. I am sorry for the inconvenience, the pain and the delay. Be rest assured that there is no intention to defraud you. My sincere apologies one more time.”
