Nigerian fast rising music act, Lyta has signed under MARLIAN MUSIC.

Not quite long ago Lyta left his recent record label “YBNL” owned by Olamide, and now he has finally joined Naira Marley’s MARLIAN MUSIC label in a means to continue his extinct career.

Lyta took to his official Instagram page to confirm this by putting up a picture showing him signing a documented deal with the record label boss Naira Marley.

He posted it with a confirmation caption as a clear doubt;

“I'm so excited to be joining my new family Marlian music, thank you my president @nairamarley for giving me this amazing opportunity 💛⚡”.

BBNaija: Laycon Reveals His Next Plan for Erica and it’s a Tough One

Big Brother Naija season 5 housemate, Laycon is yet to learn his lesson with the several rejection he has gotten from Erica. He has now vowed not to relent on his quest to conquer Erica’s heart despite all odds.

Last night, Erica won the Head of House challenge for the fourth week of the 5th edition of Big Brother Naija Reality Show and he picked Kiddwaya over Laycon to be his deputy.

Laycon was heartbroken over her choice but he won’t back down yet. He made this known in a recent conversation he had with his fellow housemates – Brighto and Praise.

His next plan is to put more pressure on Erica who obviously won’t succumb but he seems to be determined with his heart desire.

Speaking with Brighto and Praise about the love triangle he’s currently in, he said that there are things Erica has said to him during their recent conversations that made him believe he still has a chance with her if only he applies more pressure.

Brighto and Praise however had a different perspective on the issue as they both told Laycon that Erica is already drawn to Kiddwaya.

Praise told Ebuka said he is single but new revelations on social media suggests that he is engaged or better yet, married with a child.

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State Replaces Striking Resident Doctors With Volunteers

Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun has shunned striking resident doctors working at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital Isolation Centre, Sagamu, by replacing them with volunteer doctors.

The resident doctors working in the Ogun state COVID-19 isolation centre joined their colleagues last week in the ongoing strike which commenced on July 1, 2020 to express their displeasure at the failure of the government to meet their welfare demands.

No sooner had the resident doctors at the Ogun State isolation center joined the strike than they were replaced.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker, made this known.

She said, “Only two doctors at the isolation are ARD members. They have been replaced by other doctors who are happy to serve the people of Ogun State by volunteering at the isolation centre.”

The Secretary, Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), OOUTH, Dr Tope Osundara, confirmed the replacement.

Tope added that the doctors were hopeful that the government would call for a meeting this week.

NDDC Probe Committee Chairman Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo Steps Aside

Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, the chairman of the House of Representatives committee on Niger Delta has stepped aside from presiding over the panel probing the Nigeria Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

According to The Nation, Tunji-Ojo stepped aside at the hearing on Monday, July 20, to allow fair hearing and to protect his integrity and prove to Nigerians that he was not on any revenge mission.

This is coming three days after the acting boss of the body, Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei walked out on the committee.

Pondei who was supposed to appear before lawmakers of the lower legislative body on Thursday, July 16, shunned them.

He made this move while members of the committee were still deliberating and making contributions to an ongoing investigation in which Pondei is expected to be questioned.

However, the acting NDDC boss walked out on the committee, insisting that he is not ready to give any presentation.
